Overthinking in night

It’s late at night, and I should be sleeping. But my mind won’t stop. I think about a conversation from years ago, then about what I’ll do tomorrow, then suddenly, I’m wondering why dogs tilt their heads. I turn over, trying to get comfortable, but it doesn’t help. The silence feels too loud, and the more I try to sleep, the more awake I feel. Maybe I should just stop thinking—but how? The night drags on, and before I know it, the sky outside is turning light. Another sleepless night, lost in my own thoughts.
