Paralysis treatment options

Last week my aunt had a paralytic attack. She is not able to stand up or walk. But able speak well. She is on medication and doctor says she will recover. Family members are worried. Many suggest that ayurvedic medicine. There are many families who has been giving medicine which is continued from there grand parents traditionally. These are really confusing.

Can any one suggest and comment=t your experience ?
